This is my reflection for the last week of term two, It is term two week 9. 

So far it has been a good week but not much happened but here are all the things that have happened.

On Monday nothing really happened, just a normal day apart from starting to play football at break times and this was the same for all the days except for Thursday and Friday. 

On Thursday we went to tech and we made wedges. The wedges were really fun and easy to make and turned out delicious. We also got to make a dipping sauce with it and it could have sour cream, two types of chilly sauce or just plain old tomato sauce. I put sour cream and one of the chilly sauces in mine.

On Friday we were supposed to go to winter sports but we couldn’t go because it was raining. We also had an assembly for the end of term.

Those were all the exciting things in my week and I think it was a pretty good week. I think I showed the rise value of success by finishing tech with no failure.

This week not much interesting has happened this week but here are the things I can remember

On Monday not much happened because it was a rainy day so we had to stay inside all day and the same happened on Tuesday.

On Wednesday we did some inquiry progress and my buddy and I finished our own choice inquiry about the evolution of chocolate cake which I am really happy about because that means I can play games even though I don’t know if I am supposed to but we can blame Oscar for that because he got me addicted to a game.

On Thursday we had tech and I am in food. In food tech we made pancakes but they called them hot cakes for some reason but they were really good. We had to remake them because the teacher accidentally put salt in instead of sugar because I asked for more sugar and she accidentally put in salt. After we made the mixture we cooked them in the frying pan and they were really good.

On Friday we were supposed to have winter sports but it got canceled because of the rain so it was a normal day apart from being able to lead choice and challenge like on every friday but on this Friday there was a kid that was running around and not listening to me and we had to get a teacher.

Over all I think it was a pretty good week and I think the rise value I showed was  success by write all this in like 10 minutes.

On Friday we did a math’s test on division.

The test was kinda hard and I only got 50 out of 100 which I think is pretty bad but I will learn for next time, I think the hardest ones were probably the ones that were something divided by 40 or over and hope that I can learn that soon.

Over all I think that I will do better next time and hope to get at least 70 or more.

On Friday we did a maths test about our multiplication.

My score was 63 out of 100 and I think that that isn’t that bad and my technique was to do all the easy questions first and the hard questions last but I didn’t  really get to do the hard questions because we only had 10 minutes.

I struggled on my 9 and 8 times tables a bit but I will learn them and get them next time.

This week has been really good and fun because of all the things that have happened in it. Here are all the things that have happened in it.

One thing that happened this week was inquiry. I really enjoyed this because we got to share our work and one of the people that is doing the same inquiry as me made a cake for us and brought it to school so we could taste it. It tasted good and we found out after we ate it that it was called depression cake and it had no eggs, milk or butter. This week we also got to share our work and I think that went really well and I was very happy with how it turned out.

One of my favorite things that happened this week was tech. I really enjoy the tech group I am in now (which is foods) because it lets me try new things and all the things I have made so far have been really good. This week we made french toast. The french toast was really good and fun to make.

Another thing that happened this week was our first day of winter sport. I was really excited for winter sports because I am in the capture the flag group with my friends Tiaan and Jaxon.

Those were all the exciting things about my week and overall I think it was a good week.

This week still not much has happened but here is all that I know has happened.

On Wednesday one of my friends got stuck on top of the pool verandah because he was on a branch that was about to snap so he had to jump onto the verandah so he didn’t fall. Once he was on there he didn’t know how to get down because the tree branch was too close to snapping for him to jump on and if he jumped down he would get ground shock and might hurt his legs. Eventually he decided to try and jump to the tree and he made it to another tree branch and got down but he hurt his thumb because he hit it on another tree branch and bent it back when he was jumping to the tree. That was a very thrilling experience but it would be very scary for him.

On Thursday we had tech,Tech was as fun as normal with Mrs Smith doing sewing and fabrics. I finished my fuggler( funny, ugly monster) and put it on my senior jacket zipper but at the end of the day I put it on the thing I use to lift up my blinds. After that I started making a little basket for my easter eggs on easter. She was really nice and gave us chocolate eggs for our baskets and even if we didn’t make a basket she would still give us one.

This week I didn’t get to lead choice and challenge or do action stations because there was an assembly at the start of the day. At the assembly our class did a flash mob in the middle of the assembly and it was really awkward but it was cool.

I think I showed success this week by finishing my fuggler because we had to do the cushion first which was really hard but I got them both done now.

Today In maths we gathered data and used Google sheets to make a column graph. Our topic was preferred drinks and our variable was gender.

The features of my graph are the title, colours and variables which help to understand the graph.

From the graph I notice the least people like water than fizzy and juice.

Nothing really happened this week until Thursday where we had Tech. At Tech we finished our cushions. I made a cushion for my mother and am going to give it to her at the end of the day on Friday. I think that making the cushion was really fun and I would do it again. The cushion took about one and a bit weeks ( It took till week nine but we only had one day a week).Now that I have finished the cushion I get the choice to make a dreamcatcher or a little basket to hold little chocolate eggs for the upcoming easter.

On Friday I lead choice and challenge for the year one to three juniors. I lead drawing for choice and challenge. We usually get lots of children and some of them don’t listen to us like today a kid was running around with a paper airplane and we told him to not run inside but he didn’t listen and we had to get a teacher and he had to go to the thinking corner. It is cool to lead drawing in choice and challenge because you get to see what the kids draw, and some of them are even better drawers than me. Sometimes it can be hard because sometimes the kids get bored and ask to go to different activities even when we try to give them ideas or do drawing challenges and we don’t know if they are allowed to switch. Overall I think that leading choice and challenge is really fun.

After all of that I think that this week has been really fun and challenging at the same time.

I think I showed Success by finishing my cushion at tech and I am really excited to give to mother.

This has been a good week, not much happened but almost all weeks are good ones in Tangaroa.

Science not much has happened this week. The only things I can think of are tech, no uniform day and swimming sports( Which I was not in).

First off is tech, I really like tech with Mrs Smith. This week we started making our cushions, not pillows, which I need to remember because I always call them pillows. We started the inside part of the pillows. I was scared to do it because if you mess up you have to pull out all the thread with a thread pulling out thing. 

On Friday we had no uniform day which I like because I think that being able to show all your cool and funny shirts. It’s also fun to see what other cool things people wear. On Friday I wore a cool shirt that has a potato saying is that you bro to a packet of fries.

Last of all was swimming spots, which I was not in so I don’t know anything about  but it was on so I thought I would mention it.

Week five has been a really good week.

We have had a spelling test which I did okay in. We were seeing if we knew our different were we’re and wheres.

We also did tech on Thursday which was the favorite part of the week even though it’s a bit confusing getting on the right bus to get there but when we are there it is really fun. This week we got our restricted  licence on the sewing machines and I have almost finished my fuggler (Funny ugly monster.)
